TOURISM TASMANIA FAMIL PROGRAM

Tourism Tasmania is pleased to offer buyer delegates attending Meeting Place 2026 the opportunity to register their interest in joining their famil program.

Designed to immerse you in uniquely Tasmanian experiences, these itineraries move through the island's four main regions, taking in the food and beverages, nature, adventure, history and culture and wildlife that make Tasmania a compelling destination.


Pre-famils return to Hobart in time for Meeting Place commencing on 26 October. Post-famils depart after the event concludes on 28 October. Both programs offer a mix of trade ready product across Tasmania's regions, with experiences that span a range of themes and travel styles.

During the registration process, buyers will be invited to indicate whether they would like to be considered for one of the famils and rank their preferences accordingly.

Places are very limited and selection is at the discretion of Tourism Tasmania. We will contact participants after registrations close to confirm next steps and provide further itinerary details to assist with travel planning, including the requirement for buyers to arrange their own flights.

SLOW DOWN SOUTH

Hobart and Surrounds


Arrive Hobart/Depart Hobart. 4 days/3 nights.

Embrace the invitation to ‘come down for air’. From the cultural hum of Hobart's waterfront to the tranquil quiet of the Huon Valley and the wild edges of the Tasman Peninsula, you will leave with an understanding of why locals are so passionate about their island home. GO WEST

Hobart, Derwent Valley, West Coast

Southern Tasmania is a portal to one of the last great wild places on earth. This famil moves from Hobart through the picturesque Derwent Valley before pushing into one of the most remote and rewarding corners of the country. Wilderness that genuinely earns the word, places that will take your breath away, and a sense of scale that's hard to replicate anywhere else in Australia. Launceston and Surrounds

Northern Tasmania is known for its cool-climate wines and farm-fresh produce, and this famil delivers on this promise starting in Launceston, a UNESCO City of Gastronomy. The north offers cool climate cellar doors, heritage towns and a river gorge that earns its reputation. Tasmania's oldest winegrowing area produces some of the world's best sparkling and award-winning Pinot Noir, and you will come away with experience of a region you can sell with genuine conviction.

SALTY SPLENDOUR

East Coast
