WELCOME FROM SARAH KINGSTON CLARK
Welcome to Nipaluna/Hobart!
We’re excited to be hosting Meeting Place for the first time in Lutruwita/Tasmania.
Tasmania has a way of getting under your skin. The landscape, the people, the food, the quiet. There's a reason those who live here are fiercely proud of it. Spend a few days and you'll start to understand why.
It is a place of genuine contrasts, where ancient forests hug secluded coastlines and World Heritage wilderness gives way to a capital city where history, provocative art and a thriving food scene sit comfortably side by side. The north west draws visitors with some of the cleanest air on the planet and a food culture rooted deeply in the land, while the east coast invites you to explore beach tracks and views around every corner, and seafood that can only be found at our edge of the world.
While you're here to do business and build connections, we hope you will also make time to explore. Whether that's out into nature and our communities, or just into a slower pace while you soak up our experiences.
We'll kick things off at the welcome event, hosted by Tourism Tasmania. Expect a taste of what this island does well: creativity, produce and beverages that pay homage to the stories behind our strong agriculture and artisan food scene. Seasonality and hospitality go hand in hand. Consider it a preview!
We have curated a range of pre and post event itineraries so you can experience firsthand what Tasmania offers international visitors. These experiences are designed to deepen your connection with Tasmania and leave you with something lasting to take home.
Hosting Meeting Place supports our priority of growing international visitation. Hobart's recent recognition as one of Expedia's top 10 global Destinations of the Year in the Unpack 2026 report reflects a momentum that's been building for some time. We hope your time here adds to that story.
