B2B PROGRAM
Business-to-business (B2B) meetings are a core component of the Meeting Place program that deliver efficient, high-value appointments with the right buyers and sellers. This year the MP26 B2B program will encompass three sessions of meetings, rather than two, which have traditionally been a feature of all previous Meeting Place events.
More B2B meetings (that are slightly longer this year) have been incorporated into the program to ensure maximum commercial connections and optimum structured engagement between buyers and sellers.
Please see further details listed below on how the program will work and what you can expect as a buyer or seller attendee. More information will be added in the lead up to the event so please reference this page regularly.
B2B Program – Tuesday 27 & Wednesday 28 October 2026
Tuesday 27 October - Session A
Tuesday 27 October - Session B
Tuesday 27 October - B2B networking & refreshments
Wednesday 28 October - Session C
Please note that the Supplier Sessions will run concurrently to the B2B meetings to enable sellers with a free session (no B2B meetings) to attend. More information will be provided on these sessions.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many B2B sessions and meetings will buyers receive?
Buyers will participate in ALL three sessions of B2B meetings and may receive up to 60 meetings total.
How many B2B sessions and meetings will sellers receive?
Sellers will participate in TWO out of three sessions of B2B meetings and may receive up to 40 meetings total.
Can I request a different session of meetings?
No. The B2B sessions you are allocated are system generated and cannot be changed.
How many meetings are in each B2B session?
Each session (A, B and C) is made up of 20 meetings. Therefore, buyers may receive up to 60 meetings total (participating in all three sessions), and sellers may receive up to 40 meetings total (participating in two out of the three sessions).
How long will the meetings be?
Each B2B meeting will be 10 minutes plus a one-minute change over.
How will the B2B meetings be determined?
Once registrations close, you will be able to submit your preferences using a tiered system for who you would like to meet with during these sessions (i.e. buyers will preference the sellers they would like to meet with, and sellers will preference the buyers they would like to meet with). Once finalised, a system generated meeting schedule will be created and sent to you ahead of the event. Your sessions and meeting schedule will be formulated based on the preferences you submitted in advance and in turn the preferences of those who selected to meet with you. Please note the number of preferences you submit in advance may not necessarily correlate to the total number of appointments you receive. Preferencing will commence later in August, and you will receive further information at this time.
What if I don't get an appointment with a buyer/seller I really wanted to meet with?
Once your appointment schedule is released, there will be a period of time where you can contact (online message) any buyer/seller that you did not secure a pre-scheduled appointment with to try and find a suitable time to meet. However, please keep in mind that buyer schedules are likely to be close to full. We encourage all delegates to maximise their breaks – morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, and the evening networking events – to ensure they have connected with as many buyers/sellers as possible.
How will the meetings be conducted?
Sellers will have a designated table (approx. 1800mm L x 600mm W x 750mm H) and buyers will move around the room to meet with them. Sellers will have the same table for the duration of the B2B program.
Important information
ATEC cannot guarantee the final number of pre-scheduled appointments as this is dependent on buyer and seller registrations ratios and preferencing. We strongly encourage all buyers and sellers to complete the registration process carefully as well as preferencing to ensure the best chance of receiving quality appointments. Cancellations will not be accepted if you are not satisfied with your appointment schedule. For example, if you receive less appointments than anticipated or the quality of your appointments falls below expectations.
